USC receiver Ronald Johnson stood on the sideline during warmups wondering what might have been.

Johnson, a junior from Michigan, had looked forward to playing at Ohio Stadium since the day he signed a national letter of intent with the Trojans in February 2007.

Johnson, however, suffered a broken collarbone in the Trojans' final training camp scrimmage and is not expected to return for a few more weeks. The absence of Johnson, USC's No. 2 receiver, takes the Trojans' best deep threat away from freshman quarterback Matt Barkley.

"This is hard," he said, as teammates went through pregame drills. "I remember seeing Ohio State on the schedule here when I was getting recruited.

"You work so hard and then you can't play. It's tough."

Johnson said that seeing some family members during the trip softened the blow of not being able to play. He is scheduled to have an X-ray in the coming week to determine his progress.

The premier game in college football odds for Saturday's games is a Top 10 match-up in Columbus from Ohio stadium as the Ohio State Buckeyes host the USC Trojans on ESPN football at 8:00pm EST. This college football match-up has the potential to be a great one with exciting young quarterbacks Matt Barkley and Terrelle Pryor leading the way. USC is a 7-point favorite in college football betting lines for this ESPN football match-up with a betting total of 44.5 at online sportsbooks.
The Trojans football squad opened up in college football odds last week by routing San Jose State 56-3 while Ohio State football just barely got by Navy 31-27. This will be the first time in college football lines that USC will have played at Columbus since 1990. The Trojans have a 12-9-1 edge in college football betting for the all-time series and have won the last six games.

Last week it was Barkley going 15-of-19 against San Jose State in college football odds, for 233 yards and one touchdown. USC also got a nice game out of Joe McKnight who rushed for 145 yards and two TDs. USC had 620 yards of total offense last week. The defense was just as good as they held the Spartans to 121 yards. The Ohio State football squad did not play nearly as well as USC last week and didn’t cover the college football betting spread against Navy as 22-point favorites at sportsbooks.

Pryor was good though as he went 14-of-21 for 174 yards, with one TD and one interception. Dan Herron had 72 yards rushing and one TD. The Ohio State defense had all kinds of trouble last week against Navy’s rushing attack and that could be a problem against McKnight and USC in college football betting odds. USC football has more talent on both sides of the ball but Ohio State does have the home field edge. It will be up to Pryor to make big plays if the Buckeyes are to stay in this game and upset the Trojans in college football odds.
The USC football squad is 35-17 against the spread in college football betting for their last 52 non-conference games. USC is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a road favorite. Ohio State football is 1-5 against the college football odds in their last 6 non-conference games and the Buckeyes are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games.

Fernandez's College Football Pick: Any other year I wouldn't do this to the Buckeyes at home but the Trojans have to many horses on both sides of the ball. Look for the Trojans to win outright so playing USC in few parlays isn't a bad idea either. Vegas odds at the Hilton sportsbook have the Trojan -7 favorites against Ohio State for Saturday's game on ESPN with a betting total of 45.5.

what did serena williams say 2009

Serena Williams is out from US open as she couldn’t make out against Kim Clijsters at Saturday night. She lost the match, 6-4, 7-5, because she scolded a lineswoman on match point.

Though, it’s unclear exactly what she did say, but it was enough to earn her the code violation, and the match penalty.
Now, it’s being believed that Serena Williams said to lineswoman that she would kill her up. Amid the exchange, Williams could be heard saying to the lineswoman: “I didn’t say I would kill you. Are you serious?”
Williams had already been given a warning, for breaking her racket after she lost the first set. This second code violation, by rule, cost her a point. With that penalty, the match ended.
Suddenly, Williams walked to the other side of the net and shook Clijsters’s hand. Thus the match ended in bizarre fashion.
